It is not just a past-time- it is a sport and, a very dangerous one also. Because jumping from a great height, while tethered to a long strong stretch cord seems quite simple, it is still inherently dangerous. Just about anyone can bungee jump as long as they don't have existing heart problems.

Recovery from bungee jumping is usually uneventful assuming the equipment holds up. An equipment problem can create a range of issues from a big scare to a fatality.

The in between can mean soreness or stiffness of the back and neck muscles. Though not discussed or suggested by most bungee jumpers, muscle relaxers could be very comforting the body after a jump. In the beggining, there is an involuntary attempt to tighten all body muscles during the event. Additionally, stiff braided shock cords wrapped by strong outer covers generally give a harder bounce when the cord reaches the point of recoil.

Bungee jumping has grown in popularity all of a sudden. Bungee jumps are used in action movies, offered at amusement parks and have been turned into a sport for local groups or clubs by both novices and seasoned jumpers. Whatever your reason for continuing to jump, be prepared for some residual physical affects when the fun is over. Asking for help like ibupropen or even soma carisoprodol to relax the neck muscles may be the last step in the recent action of tempting fate.
